Santa Claus is coming to town...

Thousands of protestors protesting in Russia against Putin? No one saw that coming. Rally against Trump, yes, but Putin? Not a good idea.

The feeling was that Putin had Mother Russia safely under control and under his thumb, what with the threat of high buildings and open windows lurking in the background.

Heart attacks were also very competitive with those open windows. Twenty-eight-year-old marathoner keels over on a sunny day while walking his dog. Suspicious?

There’s also the less subtle tea at the Millennium Hotel in London or the pointed umbrella tip that shoots a grain of polonium into a passerby.

Ayeee!

And then there’s the guy who is shot in the back, and everybody just knows it wasn’t suicide, but everyone continues going about their business.

People don’t usually protest in Russia. They know better. But it seems a popular governor was arrested in the far eastern part of Russia. Some citizens were even brave enough to ask for Putin to resign.

Even journalists were in the crosshairs. Dozens of journalists are being detained.

This time, not everyone is going about their business as usual. Instead, they are marching, holding up signs, shouting anti-Putin chants, and Putin's decision to extend his presidency until forever.

You'd better watch out, you'd better not pout, you'd better not shout, I'm telling you why...

Putin is having a look-see. A sure bet, Putin won’t be asking Trump for any advice. Doesn’t need any advice. Putin will clear the streets not with mounted police, but with tanks, with turrets, that can slowly turn in circles, pointing their smoking barrels at Russian protestors. Will the barrels fire?

It's doubtful. A Russian to fire on fellow Russians? Nah, Russia has a history...
