VENICE, Italy - After a nine year estrangement Angelina Jolie has finally reconciled with her father actor Jon Voight.
Jolie said that she had not spoken to her father ever since the night of the Academy Awards in 2001. Voight, who was presenting an award for 'best hairstylist' looked into the camera and confessed to over 90 million viewers watching the televised festivities that his daughter Angie has some mental problems, lots of emotional problems, a few physical problems, and a big financial problem, and on top of all of that, she has some 'big time' oversized lips.
Voight later apologized and said that being a famous actress who makes a lot of very successful movies he is certain that his daughter is not having big financial problem.
After that night, Voigt said that he called his daughter over 7,000 times between 2001 and 2009. He also sent her over 13,000 emails as well as at least 900 text messages, none of which Jolie ever acknowledged.
Jolie was furious with her father's remarks and stated that she would rather that Adolfo Hitler be her father. Voight responded by saying that if that was the case, then he would rather have that whining whimpering Puerto Rican American Idol reject from the 2009, season Tatiana Del Toro for a daughter.
The two were finally brought back together by Brad Pitt, who says that he spent close to $128,000 to make it happen. The main thing that Pitt wanted to convey to both parties was that he does not want to hear even one 'my dad is so mean that he _____ jokes, or my daughter is so unappreciative that she _____ jokes.
Angelina Jolie and Jon Voight will start filming The Story of Richard and Lindsay Lohan in Berlin, Germany in May.
