How did anyone become so sacrosanct in this democracy that he can't be indicted? And who in the United States decided that a president is above the law?
It is clear that Donald Trump obstructed justice by attempting to stop an investigation into the Russian interference of the 2016 election. It's obvious Trump tried to stop this investigation, not because his actions were honorable, but because he had conspired with the Russians to steal the election and become president of the United States.
And his overcoat can’t hide it.
He fired the former head of the FBI James Comey to, “Stop that Russia thing.” That thing being an FBI investigation into the Russian interference of the 2016 election. He confessed this during a TV interviewed by Lester Holt of NBC.
So where are the police?
There are bodies buried all over the White House lawns of people who did not comply with his coverup. The grounds are getting crowded, a foot here and there sticking out with a toe tag reading: Victim defending democracy.
And it isn’t even Halloween.
The Justice Department shrugs, “Can’t indict. Somebody figured it would be kind of embarrassing to indict a sitting president and he’d have trouble doing the president’s business.”
If a brain surgeon were discovered without the proper credentials to perform brain surgery, would the solution be: Let him finish the operation; it'd be difficult for him to defend himself during the surgery?
Same example for an airline pilot. Would any company allow an unqualified pilot to fly a 747 passenger plane?
If he were as pure as driven snow when learning of the Special Counsel’s appointment to investigate any Russian interference of the 2016 election, why did Trump say: “THIS IS THE END OF MY PRESIDENCY. I AM F——KED!”
That was a declaration of Trump’s guilt.
If Trump had an ounce of morality, he would resign. But the solution is not to wait for the next election to vote him out of office.
This admired nation that is a beacon of democracy is too precious to deliver justice by running out the clock.
