It's cold INSIDE, too, in many quarters for poor Santa, since some MeToo-ers have declared the song suggestive and deserving of being banned from the airwaves. Many of those who sing it are being relegated to the doghouse.
But Santa is defiant, standing up for himself AND the song. He has no intention of stopping his singing of the song. No way will he let himself be shoved into the doghouse! Hey no, he won't go.
He sings this song every year around Christmas, and has no plans to stop now. It's a lot of fun, according to Santa.
"The song won an Academy Award, for Pete's sake," Santa points out. "That's good enough for me," he argues.
"Who cares about those who are not in favor of the song?" Santa asks. "Let them eat cake," he advises.
