Anheuser-Busch is delighted to announce that the supposed backlash and boycott of their popular beer, Bud Light, turned out to be short-lived.
According to Curtis Steambush, the sales director for the "Clydesdale Company," many self-proclaimed boycotters of Bud Light merely engaged in empty posturing. Despite their claims of never touching the beer again, it seems they couldn't resist the allure of a refreshing Bud Light when push came to chug.
Steambush gleefully pointed out that these boycotters were all talk and no hops, as they quickly found themselves reneging on their boycott. It appears that their strong declarations fizzled out faster than a flat beer.
In the meantime, Anheuser-Busch will continue marketing Bud Light as Bud USA for a few more weeks before reverting to its original production as Bud Light.
SIDENOTE: Although a few professional teams initially boycotted Bud Light, the majority simply disregarded the call for a boycott as they were too drunk to organise any sort of uprising.
