Well, the old fellow has gone and done it!!!

He is now the world's longest-living Consort. Saw the old codger briefly at breakfast time - he seemed really cheerful today and was even singing although what it was I couldnt tell. He then rushed off towards the stables.

One can remember that day vividly, because one thought that it would be a jolly jape to see His Royal Highness at His Royal lowest.

I decided to take four of my Corgis for a walk and I was just taking some spring morning air near the stables when I heard that noise again - it was Philip. He was perched on the tailgate of the old Range Rover singing and drinking Whisky.

One has never ever seen him so happy!
