Dear Diary,

I am still having problems with my children, even though I live here in a cave and the problems follow me here.

For the last two months this guy has sent me notes about an arranged marriage with one of my sons. I guess he gets a cut from the dowry.

He is actually bringing her here to show me the woman whom he says will make a fine wife for my Abdul and they arrived today.

You should see this woman. No, maybe not before you eat.

We had a meal of some bread he brought and some roasted lizard.

After the meal we are all three sitting there and I whispered to him, "Are you the complete idiot? This woman is 30 years older than my son. She has few good teeth and her breath is bad. She is almost bald!

So he tells me, "Osama, you do not need to whisper, she is also deaf."

I told him he will be deaf also, as the headless do not hear, if he brings another like this. He does not really have to worry, of course, there could be no other like this.
