These pre-season tours are a complete bore. I don't even know what country we are in at the moment. Malayasia, Mauritius, who knows, who cares?? Its all to generate revenue for the club, build up the fan base.

We played Man City in a friendly. One of our main rivals for the title in the domestic season and the powers that be make us play them in a friendly in another country when most of our players are still jet lagged and half-fit after the summer break or playing at Euro 2012.

We lost 2-0. Of course. Man City have a massive squad already. They beat us, hopefully I have conned them into thinking they don't need Van Persie. I hope he was back at home watching on ESPN or whatever channel it was on twiddling his thumbs waiting for his transfer to 'win trophies'. Or sit on the bench Robin, or be injured as these things sometimes turn out. I'm not bitter...
