DNA Proves Winehouse is Shergar

DNA tests today proved that gravel voiced singer Amy Winehouse is in fact missing horse Shergar.

The startling discovery was made when cops arrested Winehouse for trespass after she was found Grazing on a private estate.

Ms Winehouse was incoherent and police decided that tests would show the identity of the unknown grass muncher.

Winehouse was in further trouble after she ate the Chief Inspectors bag of apples he had purchased for the animals at his stable.

Shergar was thought to have been kidnapped but reappeared at this years Brit awards singing Rehab.

A spokesman for the horses owner released a statement today confirming that Winehouse will be mounted by Tony McCoy for next years grand national. " we can confirm that Miss Winehouse is Shergar and that Mr Tony McCoy will ride her in the 2008 grand national. We are delighted to have her back after all these years."

When questioned about her true identity miss Winehouse simply stamped her foot and brayed.
