Following the 2005 earthquake, international communities contributed billions of dollars in aid to "help Pakistan rebuild".

Today, 5 years later and on the heels of yet another disaster when the bullying Pak Govt is demanding 'more world aid', the Pakistan Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) confirmed that over 300 million pounds has still not been handed over for reconstruction.

One ERRA official said that they were told in 2009 that the money was 'being diverted to other government projects".

Interestingly during this same period the Pak Defence budget - supposedly only to "maintain a minimum deterrence capability" against its imaginary enemy to the east has steadily increased. In 2010, Pakistan's nuclear arsenal is much greater than its imaginary enemy's.

With over 20 million of its people displaced in the recent floods, Pak's pseudo-civilian govt and its de facto govt.- the Army both continue to spin in the wind - taking no responsibility for continued failures and expecting the world to always bail them out..

And they wonder why "aid is so slow in coming"?

Giving aid to successive Pakistani govts - 'civilian' or military - in the name of humanitarian causes is like putting all your credit cards in the hands of a drunken sailor.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
