A young blogger in Canada was upset today when an email sent by the Queen failed to arrive.
The email was sent to 23 young people from across the world, who have written blogs about their experiences of the Commonwealth - which is celebrating its 60th anniversary.
When Ed Monton complained, a local IT specialist checked into it and found the following email snippet.
He was not able to confirm it was from the Queen, but it had been caught up in the Parental Control Filter on Ed's computer, although no-one knew why.
Here is the email:
- Great tidings to you young people. I owe you a
huge thank you for the records you have kept all
round the world. From the harvesting of water-
melons in Australia, to breakfasting on freshly
squeezed berry juice in Zambia, the details
from your blogs are intriguing. I'm a little
behind the times, but realised it was a
while since I had sent an e-mail. Although I am
getting on in age a bit, my son
prodded me to try it. Anyway, I realise it is
hard to keep blogging, so very well done.
