An artists image of Jesus, who has been avoiding the Press for many years.

A press release from publishers Blume & Bialistock said that the new "Gospel according to Jesus - in His own words" has become #1 New York Times Bestseller.

A spokesperson for the 2008 year old veteran said, "Jesus (pron. 'Geesuss', not 'Heysuse') decided enough was enough, he was finally fed up with all the misguided misrepresentation of his early life in other accounts of those years."

"The early Church is to blame," he continued, "They picked and chose the bits they wanted, and hid away other documents that were less palatable for their doctrine."

In the book Jesus tells all, in a no-holds-barred epic expose from his childhood in Nazareth to the climatic Hill of Calvary.

Highlights include the real 'Sermon on the Mount' and the truth behind the bread and fishes. The chapter including the Parable of the Lost Sheep, is a must-read 'Who Dun It'.

Eagerly awaited is Jesus' sequel volume "Gethsemane and Beyond", soon to be published. Jesus is currently working on the conclusion to this Holy Trilogy; - which has the working title "The Second Coming"

Mel Gibson has secured the Movie rights to all three books.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
