The Endorsement That I Didn't Expect

The current pontiff, thinking he has some PR problems, has, in an unprecedented move, changed his name to Ron Paul I. "It rhymes with John Paul, and he is a really neat guy who doesn't like the war in Iraq, and besides, he is a veteran who was a doctor in the war, like those Mash guys", said a spokesman for the Vatican.

Dr. Paul is for free market competition, and that is the wave of the future. Besides, eliminating income tax would free more income up for contributing to the Church, he joked. "Also, he is a Dr. who is pro-life, how can you beat that?"

Dr. Paul did not comment, he just did that smile you always see on all the photos.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
