A terrible dispute disrupted negotiations at the UN today after delegates began using Babel fish to translate rather than humans.
As described in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the Babel fish lives in a person's ear eating the brainwaves of those around him and excreting brain waves in the wearer's own language into his ear. But it seems the Babel fish used at the UN were were mentally damaged after being kept in Paris Hilton's aquarium for over three years. The fish were starved for brain waves and the best around come from her chihuahua.
This explains why delegates perceived the conversations around them as nervous high-pitched barking. Every one assumed the others were mocking them and things went down hill from there.
