High profile Australian politician Pru Goward has been charged with a driving offence for the second time in three months. This time being caught speeding in a school zone.
Goward's various excuses have not impressed the public.
"If you drive faster there's less chance of hitting someone because you'll be past them by the time they chase that ball out on to the street."
When that didn't work, Goward tried a different tack.
"Look, it was a school zone and I was educating. I think I've taught those children a very valuable lesson; look both ways or you may be killed by the opposition minister for the environment. I don't think this danger has been impressed on young people enough."
