A man who was walking along without a care in the world, minding his own business, has revealed how he caused the death of a frog by standing on it.
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous because of his fear of reprisals from Animal Rights enthusiasts, asked me to use the word 'unwittingly', but this would have been a clear misrepresentation of the truth.
"I trod on it, and it was as if my shoe had been placed on a very soft cushion. I imagined the frog was already dead at this point, and so I pushed down rather heavily. This was when the guts squirted out," he said.
"There was also a 'popping' sound," he added, for graphic effect.
Asked if he had felt even a tiny little bit of remorse for the poor creature, he said:
"Not really. They're horrible, slimy things."
