A University fraternity in California has offered women a chance to burn their bras at a 60's memorial party. Bra burning was a popular event in the 1960's as part of the feminist movement and was seen to be liberating from male domination.
The Lambda Sigma Delta fraternity of San Diego State University will hold the event Saturday and has invited all women who wish to come to join the event, burn their bras, and get free beer and shots.
Fraternity President Mitch Boilermaker said that "I think this is just too cool. I mean, women taking off their tops to take of their bras and burn them. It's gonna be a tit-fest like this campus has never seen!"
"Of course, we're really doing this because our history prof is giving us credit for doing a civil rights re-enactment and because the 60's were now, like, 50 years ago."
"That's now ancient history, man, and to think that those dudes got to run around with braless women all of the time. All of them are like really old now, so we don't want anyone who actually burned her bra back then to come out cuz they probably sag down to her knees and she's all gnarly and shit, but dude!"
Mitch also said that another reason to hold the party was it was Saturday night and he and his frat brothers wanted to get buzzed and nail topless drunk girls.
