Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs have been grounded for a week by Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson after the pair danced on the bar of a Manchester club as they celebrated United's EIGHTEENTH successful championship campaign and started singing risque Stretford End songs which were reportedly vehemently anti-Liverpool in content.
Sir Alex told us:
"I can understand the younger players feeling the need to let their hair down after such an eventful season, but to be honest with you, these lads are veterans who should know better. They should be setting an example for youngsters not getting pissed up and making idiots of themselves dancing and singing on the bar."
Sir Alex sent the pair home immediately and made them go straight to bed without any supper. During their week long 'grounding' they will be denied internet access, twitter facilities, X-box usage and women.
"We're really sorry," the pair told us, with their gaze focussed firmly on the floor.
More as we get it.
