Live - as it happens - Reports are flooding in that millions of Mexicans fleeing the swine flu pandemic are massing at the US border and apparently planning a mass breakout into the US.
US Border Patrols are said to be alarmed by the sheer weight of numbers facing them.
"If they come at us," one told us. "We don't stand a chance. We'll be overwhelmed. We simply don't have enough bullets to shoot them all."
Some of the fleeing Mexicans have been offering Border Guards inducements for passage, said to include fajitas, burritos, tacos, tortilla, and senoritas.
"I was raised in these here parts," a Border Guard told us, "And let me tell yawl, when you git these guys tempting you with Jalapeno based savoury treats it's pretty hard to resist. Not to mention the senoritas...some of them are so hot they're smokin'!"
The stand off remains "tense."
A White House statement is expected this afternoon.
