WASHINGTON D.C. - After months of speculation and waiting, the presidential first family has finally welcomed the much-awaited "First Puppy" to its new home; The White House.

The Obama bow-wow is a little six-month old male Portuguese water dog which was given to the family by Senator Ted Kennedy.

The family has named their new White House pet, Bo. Several reporters speculated that the name was chosen from cousin Bo Duke of "The Dukes of Hazzard" television show.

Others thought that it was named after Bo Bice, a contestant who appeared on one of the Obama family's favorite reality shows "American Idol."

The president finally stated that he chose the name Bo. And he added that the first pooch was actually named after Bo Derek, the sensuously gorgeous actress who appeared in the 1979 movie "10."

Grinning from ear to ear, President Obama admitted that he has always admired Bo Derek's poise, personality, prettiness, and pecs.

When Michelle was asked by a White House reporter if the puppy was a Democrat or a Republican she laughed and commented, "Well while we were showing Bo to all of the assembled reporters he playfully bit three of them and all three just happened to be Republicans."

The Obama's have hired world famous dog whisperer Cesar Millan who has guaranteed that the will have Bo 'White House broken' within two minutes of getting together with the first pup.

In a related story. The former president of Cuba, Fidel Castro, an avid dog lover, has sent the Obama's a dog house made from the finest bamboo found on the island of Cuba. Giberto Falsetto, who is considered to be the world's leading expert on bamboo says that the Cuban bamboo dog house is worth about $12,000 (U.S.)

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
