CHICAGO, ILL - In a surprise move today, Gov. Rod Blagojevich announced the withdrawal of the nomination of Roland Burris to the United States Senate and nominated Frankie 'Mumbai Italiano' Mujibar, not to be confused with his brother-in-law, Vinnie 'Mambo Italiano' Mujibar of Brooklyn, to the U.S.Senate.
"Any one I pick living in our State will be tainted, so I have decided to pick Mr.Mujibar, who was born in Winnebago County but emigrated to Mumbai at the age of three," said the Governor, adding, "despite not living in the great State of Illinois for the past 40 years, Mr.Mujibar will represent Illinois with honor and distinction."
Contacted in Mumbai Mr.Mujibar was asked if not living in the United States for 40 years would be an impediment both with the language and American cultural replied, "Don't be silly dickie, because I've not been in the US of America will not cause pain." "Just recently I brushed up with my English: when asked to make a sentence using the words yellow, pink and green, well any fool knows, 'the telephone goes green, green, and you pink it up, and say yellow this is Mujibar'." "I must go now for tea Mr. party smants press man."
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., commented "it's shameful that Governor Blagojevich would try to curry such favors with India at the expense of the people of Illinois."
