Rochelle, GA - This last Wednesday, a student at a local interracial high school decided to tell a joke, not just any joke, this joke's punchline was literary a punch towards the African American community.
"I never meant to cause such a problem, I swear!" David Foster claimed as he was haled into a police car early Wednesday morning at Wilcox County High School‎ located in Rochelle, Georgia.
School had been let out for the day due to the emotional ruckus.
Apparently the problem started at around 11:00 am when Foster was in Junior Honors English. The students had been reading and had been analyzing the works of Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn. Foster was trying to pass a piece of paper with the horrid joke written on it to another student near to him when he dropped it on the floor.
That's when Yolanda Perkins screamed in agony and fainted.
"At first no one had any idea what was happening, the teacher rushed out to call an ambulance for Yolanda and I rushed to her side since she sat really close to me. I whispered in her ear "What is wrong?" and she pointed to a crumbled up letter on the ground so I picked it up and read it as well."
Katie Johnston, another student in the class admitted: "I decided to read it out loud since everyone kept going crazy yelling "What does it say? Read it Katie!" I opened the note and it contained this joke:
Why does Beyonce always sing to the left, to the left?
Because Blacks have no rights.
'Everyone in the room went dead silent and then the African American students in the class started yelling racial slurs at the white students and the white students returned their harsh words, then all of the sudden people were leaving the classroom, and like an epidemic the joke had spread all around the school.'
'During this time David (Foster) took out his genitals from his pants and started urinating on all the African American students and he kept saying "What you N*****s gonna do about it, I can do whatever I want!" It was scary, I am pretty sure I got some urine on me myself! Everyone was rioting so I just ran out of there!"
Johnston is almost brought to tears as she tells us her memories of this horrible act.
"You were either fighting, or laughing, and if you were laughing, it was not for long, the people who laughed got beat up the worst."
Dale Herman said as he himself was being put into an ambulance.
The school is closed this week and opens up again on Monday. Foster is being charged with indecent exposure and will spend two months in Juvenile Hall.
Moral: Some jokes aren't funny.
