At Thursday's White House Tupperware Party, Laura Bush, Nancy Pelosi, Elizabeth Dole, Hillary Clinton, and many other famous Washington women will learn how to lock in freshness and burp their bowls. Michelle Obama, however, will not be among them.
While the wife of John McCain will be in attendance (she's also bringing the beer), the wife of Democratic Presidential candidate Barrack Obama won't be learning about seals and the latest colors (and which pieces are dishwasher safe).
When asked why she was not included in the invitations list, First Lady Laura Bush offered the following answer: "I just figured that she didn't need Tupperware for her leftovers. I mean, can't you just put the leftovers back in the chicken bucket and stick them in the refrigerator? Don't the cole slaw and mashed potatoes from KFC also come in their own containers?"
"Besides, just what would a black woman do with high priced Tupperware? I don't think she could pawn it for very much and I doubt they make a piece that would hold a watermelon."
Laura was also asked why she was hosting the first ever White House Tupperware party. "Well, George has one of those balls that you put all of the different shapes in. he likes to play with it during cabinet meetings. He likes it so much, I'm going to buy him a second one to keep on Air Force One."
