Myrtle Beach residents are reeling with the rumor that former AB Mayor Hillary Clinton is making a move on former MB City Council Liz Gilland's seat.
Gilland's well documented fiasco involving the $300 million dollar, not including the $18 million in trashed preliminary studies, rebuilding of the MB airport that ended in a crash landing, and drove her to run for a seat in the SC Senate, maybe rising from the ashes due to financial angel Hillary Clinton.
No sooner than it was announced that Atlantic Beach had been sold off for redevelopment by two week Mayor Hillary Clinton, than another blockbuster development hit the streets involving the financial future of the Grand Strand.
With the imminent closing of the AB deal to Dubai, financial advisors to the Clintons are urging them to make a move on the MB airport in conjunction with their block buster deal in the sister city. Long time MB developers, who wished to remain nameless due to pending real estate deals involving the Clintons, said the moving of the MB airport into private hands make sense. "With the incredible increase in tourism from the Mid-East spurred by the Dubai deal, it is only good business sense to control your own airport," one seasoned veteran stated. Another said he had seen preliminary plans for the new airport which "makes the current facility and recent plans look like a crop duster's dirt runway," he said smugly.
Another developer said the Clintons with their ally Shiek Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoun have a privately funded complete infrastructure plan ready to go. Included are high speed mono-rails over Business 17 directly to the newly rejuvenated New Atlantic Beach, and continued mono-rail through the 3 mile underwater tunnel to the Hillary Princess Gambling Casino on the off shore man made island.
Rumbling in the back round are also rumors of a hostile takeover move on troubled American Airlines, which today announced the cancellation of over 500 flights due to failed inspections and concerns of bad bundling of miles of internal airplane wiring. Wags point out that former President Bill Clinton, a member many times over of the infamous "Mile High Club" would be a natural to handle the start up of the new airline tentatively named "Fly Dubai" with direct flights from Baghdad, Kuwait, Hong Kong and Pakistan. Mr. Clinton, an avid fan of the recently failed MB Hooters Airlines, said he would personally be interviewing all future on board employees and each one would be put through vigorous on board safe sex and customer satisfaction tests.
Attorneys close to the Clintons said the airport would act as a sovereign state and be exempt from any United States control, including Home Land Security scrutiny or regulations. "It would be like an open city," said Chelsea Clinton, named as potential spokesman for the airline and airport, "Jimmy Carter has already signed on as a peace envoy and marketing director for Iran, Syria,Somalia, Al Queada, the Taliban, Hamas and the followers of Rev. Wright to boost tourism." Later that day the former President and Nobel Peace Prize winner was seen boarding a private G-4 at MYI surrounded by a team of body guards and encased in an Armani Kelvar body suit eager to take on the task.
Locals are awed by the whirlwind events of the past few days likening it to Sherman's march which devastated much of South Carolina during the Civil War.
