The whole world is watching how Democracy works (on the Republican side) in the United States. It’s a travesty. Too bad George Floyd didn’t have the House GOP on his side. But the difference is that Trump tried to bribe a witness before the 2016 presidential election.
That ain’t nice. Had sex with a porn star? Man up! Admit it.
Indeed, someone cheating on his wife would also cheat on his duty to elected office. Remember the Top Secret documents Trump took and hid at Mar-A-Lago?
So the House GOP decided to confess stupidity and indifference to justice (while attempting to protect twice impeached Donald Trump) by demanding Manhattan prosecutor Alvin Bragg testify before some ding-dong House committee for drilling on the possible indictment of Trump.
No dope Alvin Bragg. Mr. Bragg didn’t exactly tell the GOP House committee members to stick it, but ultimately, he did. But eloquently.
Mr. Bragg’s reply had phrases accusing the GOP committee of attempting to undermine the justice process, baseless accusations, deter from applying the law, fear of uncovering the truth, and that our lawyers are skilled, dedicated, and honest.
Adding: We will not be intimidated.
Whew! Slam-dunk!
Nervous Nellies fear indicting Trump could backfire, fail, and benefit Trump. The charges, after all, deal with paying hush money to a porn star. A Brookings fellow called it a misdemeanor.
Or a so-what?
Well, the whole world will have to wait and see.
