DES MOINES, Iowa - (Satire News) - The state of Iowa, which is noted for corn, corn, and corn, has just issued a proclamation (Iowa Proclamation M-7893701) which states that anyone caught smoking cannabis within the state will be arrested, fined $5,750, and put on a Greyhound bus bound for Colorado.
Gov. Kim Reynolds, who is a non pot-smoking, non-drinking, non-boinking individual said that Iowans are sick and tired of pot smokers causing fires in corn fields with their discarded joints.
She noted that in just the past 6 months a total of 29,348 acres of choice Iowa cornfields have gone up in smoke.
The governor said that if potheads want to smoke grass to please do it in neighboring states such as Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, or Missouri.
