US officials have confirmed the internet will be shut down.
Director of US internet relations, James Chadwick, has said, "All internet comes from China, and to help keep a virtual virus from spreading, a complete shutdown of the internet will occur."
No details have been given at this time, but it is likely that the shutdown could occur this week. President Donald Trump was recorded talking to his advisers, stating, "Why don"t we just bomb the internet?"
The situation would shut down Facebook and all other apps with internet connections, as well as Twitter and Instagram.
