President Donald Trump's Sunday roundup of illegal immigrants turned into a fumbling fiasco in several California cities where an outpouring of support for the illegals made it virtually impossible for Immigration and Custom Enforcement [ICE agents] to apprehend anyone. The "millions" to be deported that Trump had touted in tweets became a handful at the end of the day.
Headlines in the California press mocked the administration's failure in raids that the president had first scheduled for two weeks ago, but had to postpone due to public outrage.
