Dr. Ethan Holliston, pastor of the Blind Faith Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, recently spoke out against artificial and natural intelligence, both of which he says threaten the very fabric of our modern-day society.
"Did you know these AI robots can learn and evolve and think for themselves?" said Dr. Holliston. "Think of what a threat they pose to our communities. What if they decide to overthrow the president one day? What if they decide to overthrow God?"
Dr. Holliston added that, while many have expressed reservations about increasingly sophisticated artificial intelligence, natural intelligence poses as much or even more of a threat. "What with all this book learnin', people are gettin' above their raisin'," he said. "What if plain folk start getting high off ideas? It's not just the robots we have to worry about. Regular people who get to thinkin' could also start challenging the president - or, yes, even God. We could all end up in hell, thanks to them!"
Dr. Holliston urged people concerned about "making America Godly again" to avoid both natural and artificial intelligence to the fullest extent possible. "A certain amount of it is inevitable," he conceded. "But we should at least do our best to keep it from spreading."
