Sea Rise Threatens Shoes on Beach and Entire State

Tallahassee - The administration of Republican Rick Scott, while Governor of the state in 2015, succeeded in removing phrases such as "Global Warming" and "Climate Change" from all official communications and documents.

Recently, however, there have been increasing incidents of rising ocean temperatures and sea levels causing severe flooding, hurricanes, groundwater contamination and other issues in the state, leaving officials in an awkward position, as they are unable to describe what is happening using vocabulary that will be acceptable to Conservatives.

Additionally, the latest projections from many Climate Scientists call for most of the state to be underwater within the next few centuries.

Some officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, indicated that they simply referred to any incident involving climate change as "the plague".

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
