Los Angeles, CA - It was an exciting day for Ernesto Lopez when he went to his doctor for a routine checkup.
After being weighed by one of the nurses, the 32 year old man realized that his weight was the same number as his area code, 310.
"It's not every day that something as insignificant as an area code means something more than just a number to make a call."
After being coaxed into going to the doctor about his weight by his wife, Lopez is having second thoughts about dieting.
"Yeah I know I need to live a healthier lifestyle, but I think I'm going to try to stay 310 pounds. It's just too cool of a coincidence."
When reached for comment about his choice, Lopez's doctor told reporters that he can always move to a place with a lower area code if he gets serious about weight loss.
