It's been a mixed weekend for conservatives, fitting as they always seem to be mixed up.
Republican National Committee chairman Reince Preibus held a press conference today to discuss the weekend's events. The conference started with Preibus praising the grand jury in Ferguson, Missouri as they elected not to indite police officer Darren Wilson for killing 18 year old Michael Brown. When asked about the potential outrage the grand jury's decision would have in the African American community, Preibus rolled his eyes and said:
"Listen buddy, I'm getting a little tired of talking about this issue. A decision has been lawfully reached and people need to accept that. If there is any outrage in any community in this country, those individuals need to shut up."
Quickly changing subjects, Preibus softly mumbled that the seventh investigation into the Benghazi attacks reached the same conclusion as the first six: the Obama administration was cleared of any wrongdoing. His mood improved as he reminded us of investigation #8 still in progress and announced a ninth such investigation, headed by the same guy who led #7: Rep. Trey Gowdy.
When he opened the floor for questions, every reporter's hand (including mine) shot into the air. Mr. Preibus rolled his eyes again and rephrased the question: "Anybody with a question that doesn't involve my blatant hypocrisy?" Me and the rest of the reporters slowly dropped our hands and shuffled out of the room.
