WASHINGTON, DC - Reince Priebus, chairman of the Republican National Committee, declared the US economic crisis "over" today.
His comments came after the latest economic indicators were released by the Labor Department. U.S. Employers added 214,000 new jobs last month, the Labor Department said on Friday. The unemployment rate fell from 5.9 percent, even as more people entered the labor force, a sign of strength in the jobs market.
"Today's jobs report confirms that the recent success of Republicans in the midterm elections remains the bright spot in a global economic picture filled with Democrat failures," said Mitch McConnell, presumptive Senate Majority Leader.
