WASHINGTON, D.C. - Senator John McCain of Arizona told American Spotlight Magazine that the time has come to make a decision on the ongoing issue of immigration.
The GOP senator said that his home state along with California, New Mexico, and Texas are the four states that border Mexico so really the decision should come from the citizens of those four states.
The senior senator told Fitzwater Ribicoff with ASM that the solution to the immigration situation is really and truly quite simple.
He shook his head, grinned, and said that under his plan, all that the United States has to do is to make Mexico the 51st state and voilĂ , the problem is fixed.
Senator McCain said that he has talked to thousands of people in his home state and only three individuals did not support his idea
The senator said that once Mexico becomes part of the United States the number of illegal immigrants will virtually disappear overnight.
He did admit that we will still have a few undocumented workers coming in from Central America but he will see to it that Mexico (the 51st state) deals with that situation way down south in the Yucatan Peninsula in the states of Chiapas, Tabasco, Campeche, and Quintana Roo which border Central America.
