GOP Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney is to take a second wife in accordance with his Mormon faith. Mitt will marry Gigi Chao the lesbian daughter of Hong Kong property tycoon Cecil Chao who earlier this month offered a $65m dowery for any man who could marry her.
"Mitt is very committed to the second marriage." A GOP spokesman told Good Morning America. "He hopes that it will boost his poll ratings with Asian American and Gay voters. We can use the money to boost campaign funds and having two first ladies will be good. Gigi can all the hard work while Anne can carry on chattering and lunching."
Mr Chao's standing with the Chinese government are also seen as reason for the marriage as it could help boost trade links.
Mitt will not be the first member of his family to engage in a polygamous marriage. His grandfather relocated the family to Mexico when multiple marriages were first outlawed in the US. The family returned when Mormons were driven out during the Mexican revolution.
The marriage will take place on Sunday, and Mitt will be looking for an African American woman to marry the following week to boost his polls with that demographic as well.
