GOP Chairman Reince Priebus announced this morning that the Republican convention in Tampa would be aborted due to Hurricane Isaac.
"We must think about the life of the party and of those that were planning to attend, said Priebus. "This convention, yet unborn, does not have the right to take the lives of the living even though it was a breathing living entity from the moment of its conception. Although we are innocent victims and did nothing to bring this tragedy on ourselves, we must live with the consequences and honor the lives of the living!"
A reporter from Politico called out: "Mr. Chairman, what about the platform committee? Will there be any changes to the platform?"
Priebus answered abruptly: "The platform Committee is disbanded until further notice!"
