GREEN RIVER, Wyoming - Mitt Romney's presidential campaign tour "Old Mittens Covers America" pulled into Green River.

The town was made famous by Creedence Clearwater Revival back in 1969, when lead singer John Fogerty sang the hit song "Green River."

Romney spoke in The Buffalo Stampede Meeting Room of the Cowboy Britches Auditorium.

He was asked by Sinclair Petaluma with The Political Salad Bar how his campaign was going.

Romney replied that it was going as good as the smile on American Idol winner Phillip Phillips' face.

He pointed out that he has just secured the votes of the 17-member Shoshone National Forest Tree Trimmers Alliance.

Petaluma asked the former Massachusetts governor about the story that had appeared in the super market tabloid Just Saying.

Romney asked him to be more specific because he had recently read three stories about himself in the tabloid.

Petaluma answered that he was referring to the story written by Rumsfeld Muddlefish which dealt with the fact that his father (George Romney) had been born in a foreign country (Mexico).

Romney admitted that his father was in fact born in The Land of The Triple Olé's and asked why the issue was even brought up since he was running for president and not his daddy.

The reporter explained that he had just heard CNNs Anderson "Blue Eyes" Cooper state that Donald Trump wants to see George Romney's birth certificate.

Mitt shook his head and remarked that if the "Trumpster" thinks that he is going to carry on his birther BS with him the way he did with President Obama then he will be waiting until people start saying that Michael Moore sure is starting to look anorexic.

SIDENOTE: Mitt Romney asked Sinclair Petaluma who he was voting for in the November presidential election. Petaluma smiled as he replied, "Well, his last name begins with a big O and ends with a little a."

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
