This is NOT the snowshovel. We need some new images

Arthur Askme, still mayor of Newby village, is up in arms today as the village's snow shovel has disappeared.

Village policeman, Constable Copper, held a press conference this morning. The snow shovel has a wide, orange, reinforced plastic blade around 90 cms. wide. It has a l00 cm wooden handle painted red.

It was last used by little Billy Murray's dad Sam Murray (a Japanese immigrant), when he used it to shovel horse manure from the cobbles outside of his home, to use on his allotmnent.

Mr Murray said that he had leaned it up against the side of his house when he went inside to have 'a jimmy riddle' and when he returned, it was missing.

A village-wide search has been mounted for the snow shovel and a reward of two pounds is being offered for it's safe return.

The villages fear that it may have been 'shovelnapped' by someone from a nearby village - and are fully expecting a ransom note to be delivered.

Asked why they suspect a 'shovelnapping' - Mr. Murray said,

"Well it happend to our 'hose pipe' last year. It was 'hosenapped' by a group of thugs from Danby village and we had to pay a five quid ransom for its safe return".

We will follow this story and bring you more as we get it.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
