Skive News at 10 is delighted to bring you a heart warming story of a cute doggie daring to be the best.
Abbey Gaile, registered with the Kennel Club (UK) as Belly go First Shoagy Boagy of Auchenshuggle Tattieboagle, has become the first Dux of the Subo Uni @ Blackburn, West Lothian, Scotland. She has outdone all the other students to pick up her first place and rightfully earned the title of Valedictorian (Dux in Scotland).
"Right from the get go, we knew this dog was special" smiled Professor Patula de Fiart. "Her intense stare as Susan singing swept over her was our first clue."
"Then she would lie on her belly and creep forward, a bit at a time and finish off with a shimmy, the Scots call it a "Shoagy Boagy".
"Abbey's nuances of movement when listening to our heroines singing are very special and her adeptness at howling, in tune, are something else."
"We had to award her the prize as Dux, no one else really ever came close. A wee doggie, who would have thought it?"
The Proxime Accessit,(look it up on Wikipedia), a rich lady from New York, who had her graduation gown and accroutements specially made in Paris, was less than complimentary about Abbey's success,
"I spent thousands to get here and I've met Susan many times. I'm a real friend to her. Yet this, this dog, chases off Pebbles the cat to London and sleeps at Susan's feet every night. I'm on to her, I know her game, the dog is after the money. Not going to happen, doggie! Me and you are at war! Did you see her so called cap? An upturned, pot roast, plastic container from Morrisons and a Purple, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhh bit of cheap wool as a tassle."
"I smell Lady G's hand in this!"
