Takwana Smith and Anitakapita Jones, both from Cargo Fleet, Middlesbrough, are Susan Boyle's newest fans.
The pair had not heard of Ms. Boyle until they met her at a Town Hall meeting in Middlesbrough when Ms. Boyle was speaking to the public about the difference between Iceland the country and Icleand the shop.
Smith and Jones had, with hundreds of others, been boycotting Iceland shops for fear of volcanic eruptions.
Ms. Boyle presented Smith and Jones with a copy of her C.D. receiving strange looks from the pair in return.
Takwana and Anitakapita confessed afterwards that they hadn't known who Susan Boyle was but have since been enlightened. (NOT their words, obviously).
"Yeah we've bin playing 'er CD wot she gived us and she's dead gud. Then we 'eard that she IS famous from Britain's Got Talent and loads of other stuff. We never watch telly much coz we're usually down the pub or at Bingo," said Takwana.
Anitakapita added, "Yeah, and a woman at Bingo lended us a DVD of the 'Special' Susan did and we were blown away. Weren't we Takwana? God! She's an ordinary woman and got rich by singing. We've joined 'er fan club. Well NOT the one with all the Red thingies coz someone 'in the know' warned us about tha' and the 'goin's on on tha' one."
"Yeah we're not tha' daft," continued Takwana, "We joined the perple teams coz we 'eard they were kinda normal like.
We're savin' up to go to a concert if Susan comes close to where we can travel coz we're both .... well ...that's all Arm saying."
So two more fans for Susan Boyle.
On hearing the news Ms. Boyle said, "Och Am delighted! The wee lassies did look at me a bit strange. Am so glad they like ma songs and ma voice. A would love to see them at one of ma concerts. A will get ma PA onto it and send them tickets and back stage passes. Wee luvs."
We will be watching and bringing you more as this story of 'ordinary women' continues.
