Hundreds of immigrants were rounded up earlier today and put on board a boat. In a controversial move Home Secretary Jacqui Smith said "In order to celebrate 60 years since they arrived we want to send them back".
Many immigrants were glad to be leaving what has become a sinking ship. In fact many British people would jump at the chance to join the exodus.
When they first arrived they found an unsettled climate, rising prices, petrol shortages and a rail network in disarray. Many look back on those days with fondness.
Sir Trevor McDonut, the famous newsreader said "The headlines tonight.....I'm off".
It is thought that many more boats could be filled up with people wanting to leave. Or just one boat with Gordon Brown on board.
After a short trip on the Thames the boat docked and the immigrants were treated to a traditional British welcome. They were all arrested and put in a detention centre.
Will the last one out please turn out the lights.
