Lionel Bridgewater has spent the evening laughing his head off at a comedy club.
There was the comedian who had appeared on Mock The Week once, seven years ago, a left-leaning late teenager, and a right-wing bloke in his forties, telling it like it is.
Lionel takes up the story 'I want to encourage people, so I go to concerts and clap loudly, and hum along with the music, and play air guitar, and I go to the theatre and I join in with the dialogue, so I went to the comedy club and laughed after every utterance. I mean obviously, most of it was bullshit and wasn't funny, but I still laughed at it all'.
'I died out there' said Roger Jolly, the right-wing bloke who never got lucky 'but that chap who laughed at everything I said, people like him keep me going, keep me trying to stick it to the man'.
