Hamster, George Smyth the third, has said that he is not looking forward to the return of the kids, whenever that might be.
'Because lockdown happened so quickly, and because the kids couldn't leave the house, no rota has been sorted out for me like it would have been during the School Holidays,' George told us, through his cheeks full of sunflower seeds, 'so I have been staying with Miss Green, and the paper copier repairman since March.
'Although what they do would give Jilly Cooper ideas for her novels, they feed me twice a day, clean me out regularly, and keep my water bowls topped up.
'At school, none of that happens, and the children put their sticky fingers all over me. I know that we don't live for that long, but it would be nice if we could bite them sometimes, wouldn't it?'
