A woman answering the description of Prince Andrew's friend, and former financier, Jeffrey Epstein's girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, has been seen in a fish-and-chip shop in the Old Kent Road, sparking a large hunt. Or womanhunt.
Maxwell is the woman that owns the property in Belgravia which the Duke of York visited in 2001, and where he allegedly engaged in coitus with an American girl who the law says was not ready for it.
Last night, however, in Oh My Cod Fisheries, an eyewitness claimed to have seen Maxwell buying a bag of chips, onto which she poured some salt and vinegar, before leaving in a clapped-out Mini.
Derek Fantasia said:
"It was her. I'm sure of it. She looked just like she does in that photo what I saw with Prince Andrew and that bird!"
Another person who saw 'Maxwell' was Derek's wife, Annie:
"It was her, and no mistake! I said to her 'You ought to be ashamed of yourself!', but she just looked at me as if I was mad, and walked out."
The proprietor of Oh My Cod Fisheries, Malcolm Halibut, took the opportunity to do a little promotion for his shop, when he said:
"She always in here! Lovely, freshly-fried fish, every night of the week!"
