British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was desperately trying to rally support amongst fellow MPs for his Brexit deal last night, and, to show how desperate he really was, he invited anyone at all who bear it, to have a drink on him at the Last-Chance Saloon.
It was later found to be not 'on him', but at the expense of the taxpayer.
Johnson's attention has been split between trying to get the UK out of the EU by hook or by crook, and trying to hang on to his job.
Trying to retain either his reputation or dignity became futile some time ago.
The Prime Minister and his henchman, Dominic Cummings, left the House of Commons just after 7pm, and headed straight for the Last-Chance Saloon. Once there, they ordered large portions of Humble Pie, and waited patiently for others to arrive.
Nobody did.
There'll be Brexit updates through the night, if anyone can take any more.
