British Prime Minister Boris Johnson had, according to sources, resigned himself to having his Brexit bill's 3-day timetable rejected by MPs, and not being able to leave the EU with his 'deal', but has now dragged the whole sorry process as low as it can go, by threatening to push for a General Election.
And on the same day as Halloween!
Johnson informed MPs in the House of Commons tonight that, despite the apparent urgency of resolving the Brexit chaos, with the entire population hanging like a thread on the verge of civil war, he would resort to blackmail.
With this in mind, and to take an already-farcical situation to its logical catastrophic conclusion, Johnson issued an ultimatum to his fellow MPs that, if they didn't support the bill's unusually short timetable, he would withdraw it, leaving the UK to the mercy of European Ministers' pranks.
In true 'Trick-or-Treat' style.
