He's getting back to full fitness ladies and gentlemen. At Liverpool he practically jogged for two minutes straight. But now, Yakubu proudly boasted how he is "fitter than ever".
In a team building exercise during mid-week, Davey Moyes invited his squad to go and climb Mount Snowdon- which would involve a luxurious trip to Wales.
The team completed the 3 mile ascent in perfect time: even Yakubu managed to scale it (admittedly using the train and then climbing the last 100 steps himself). They were then welcomed by some Welsh hospitality before Moyes made them jog down.
The result? Yakubu had a blinding game against Liverpool. He didn't score, but by his standards it was a man of the match performance. Our favourite bit was when he shoulder-barged that Liverpool player.
When asked about this, Yakubu added:
"I worked on my technique on the train. I visualised his face, and just thought I'd show him who is boss."
Get excited. Looks like somebody's being fed at long last.
