The Dolgoprudny power drinking team set a new world record today at the Moscow Victory Day Games. The team, led by the legendary Ivan Drunkovitch, managed to down five litres of vodka and twenty litres of beer between them in one hour.
Drunkovich was unavailable for comment afterwards, but expert power drinking watcher Morgan Freeman said "Man, they really went for it. Only four guys in a team. It's the only sport I watch. I just get such a buzz from seeing these guys neck it."
The Dolgoprudny team managed to shake off an injury to their star player Sergei Liverdeadovich, and his replacement Alexei Vodkovoch top scored during the record breaking performance.
The team hope to carry their good form into the World Championships, to be held in the Mallard Bar, Magilligan in July. There will be some stiff competition from the Germans and expect a strong challenge from the host nation. However, the Dolgoprudny team are clear favourites.
