In what can only be described as inevitable, Manchester City manager Mark Hughes resigned following his team's performance in the UEFA cup quarter final against Hamburg.
In a clearly depressed and dejected mood, Hughes said "when I took this job, City were going nowhere. All I had to do is keep them up. So I take the job and next thing a gazillionaire buys them! All of a sudden I have to win everything. To be honest this job has been like a rubbish remake of Brewster's Millions. I had all this money and no-one bloody wanted to come here!!".
It is believed that Hughes will spend the summer in a retreat in the Himalayas working to forget what has been a clearly stressful time.
On a lighter note, Kevin Keegan is hoped to be a likely successor for the role.
