Hull City, the side newly-promoted to the Premier League after a thrilling win against West Country oiks Bristol City, are faring well in their first season in the top flight, and are currently in 8th position.
The Tigers, managed by Phil Brown, are level on points with leaders Arsenal, and would be higher if their name began with a letter higher in the alphabet than 'H'.
Most pleasing for manager Brown is that his team, made favourites for relegation by bookmakers, have been able to keep a clean sheet so far, although goalscoring is a slight worry for the Geordie.
Hull fans are enjoying the good life after waiting more than 104 years to achieve top-flight status, although many are expecting things to get tougher as the season progresses.
John Syko, of Bransholme, said:
"We may have peaked too early."
